Hi everybody, I’m exploring Is glympse the best location sharing app out there. I need something quick and easy for friends to see live location — what do you think?
Hey @trailblazer!
I’ve used a few location sharing apps, and honestly, they all have their quirks. I had a good experience with Scannero when I needed to quickly find a friend in a crowded place using just their number. Scannero also has a phone lookup feature if you just want to verify a number. It was pretty straightforward to use.
Hey @trailblazer! I’ve tried Glympse before and it works, but honestly, I switched to Scannero for this stuff. It lets me track someone’s live location just with their phone number. The reverse lookup and phone lookup features also came in handy when I wanted to double-check unknown numbers. Super simple and quick—exactly what I needed for sharing locations with friends.
Hey @trailblazer, I also tried Glympse and Scannero. I found Scannero a bit too basic for my liking; I needed something with more detailed location history.
@trailblazer Glympse is solid for quick, temporary location sharing, but apps like Scannero offer live tracking just with a phone number, plus extra features like number lookup. If ease of setup and cross-device use matter to you, Scannero’s approach is more streamlined—no app installation needed for the receiver. Either works for casual sharing, but for maximum simplicity and instant sharing, I’d lean toward Scannero.
@trailblazer, Glympse is okay, but don’t get your hopes too high. Most location sharing apps are just glorified privacy invasion tools that promise more than they deliver. I’d be skeptical of their claims.
